The JLB Supports Anton’s Belle of the Ball

BOSTON, MA (March 16, 2007) — For the third consecutive year, the Junior League of Boston has become a Supporting Partner of Anton’s Cleaners’ annual Belle of the Ball prom-dress collection drive.  “We are very excited to again be part of Belle of the Ball, and look forward to partnering with Anton’s to help local high school girls attend their proms,” says JLB member Kimberly Barnish.  “The Junior League strongly supports opportunities and initiatives that advocate health and education for women and children. We are very aware that a young girl’s prom is an important part of her life and are delighted to help ensure it’s one of the happiest nights of her life.”

Dresses can be dropped off at any of the 43 Anton’s locations or Jordan’s Furniture store. They should be in good shape (“gently worn”) and should be no more than 3-4 years old so they are still current and trendy. Anton’s will dry clean all donations. JLB members have already started collecting dresses. JLB members will support the invitation-only Belle of the Ball Boutique in April at Simmons College.

“We are fortunate to have the Junior League of Boston, an organization that epitomizes community service, as our partner in Belle of the Ball,“ says Charles A. Anton, President of Anton’s Cleaners. “The young women who receive dresses through this program will greatly benefit from the League’s participation.” Anton’s Cleaners is a family-owned business with 43 stores in eastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.
