THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF BOSTON WINS AWARD FOR COMMUNITY PROJECT! 

Congratulations to the JLB on receiving the Honorable Mention Award for Collaboration for the model program of partnership with Germaine Lawrence at the AJLI 86th Annual Awards Conference in California! As part of an Awards Celebration recognizing innovation in programming, the JLB received the Honorable Mention “JL” Award for Collaboration at the AJLI 86th Annual Conference held in San Diego, CA on April 30-May 3, 2008. The Boston League received Honorable Mention for its partnership with Germaine Lawrence (a residential treatment services facility in New England for 96 troubled adolescent girls) to offer a comprehensive continuum of services that helps girls reduce destructive behaviors, develop age-appropriate social skills and make enough progress to enable them to live at home or in the community safely again.  The League provides one-on-one mentoring for adolescent girls at risk residing at Germaine Lawrence.  This recognition by the AJLI of our partnership with Germaine Lawrence reinforces the impact we make on the lives of young women in our community and now Leagues across the USA, Canada, Mexico and the UK will learn about the program.  Congratulations!
