Joining the Junior League of Boston
The Junior League of Boston (JL Boston) has a rich history of making a positive impact in the community through the hard work, dedication, leadership, and unique talents of its members. We extend a warm welcome to all women who are interested in and committed to volunteering.
By Joining JL Boston You:

How to Become a Member in 4 Easy Steps
- Attend a Membership Information Session. This step is optional for all Prospective Members but is highly encouraged.
- Complete the Prospective Member Application below. Once completed, you will receive a confirmation email. The link in the confirmation email will direct you to your JL Boston homepage.
- Pay membership dues and submit your CORI form along with a valid form of ID to reserve your spot in the JL Boston New Member Course. Dues are collected on an annual basis. All paid dues and fees are non-refundable.
- Complete the 1-year New Member Course and fulfill the necessary membership commitments to maintain your membership status.
Eligibility and Admission to JL Boston
To be eligible for membership in JL Boston during the League Year starting on July 1st, you must identify as a woman and have attained the age of 21 on or before July 1st of the year you are joining. Membership in JL Boston does not require sponsorship from any member. All you need is an interest in personal development, volunteer service, and a commitment to our mission and community focus. We warmly welcome any woman who meets these criteria and agrees to fulfill JL Boston’s membership commitments.

All women interested in joining JL Boston are encouraged to attend a Membership Information Session. At these sessions, current JL Boston members will provide more information about JL Boston’s mission, community projects, events, and membership dues. You can sign up for these sessions on the JL Boston calendar.

New Member Commitments
New Members meet fellow members at General Membership Meetings, meet their new member peers at monthly new member meetings, serve the greater Boston community, train to lead, connect via social events, and actively participate in fundraising initiatives for the League.

Transferring Your Junior League Membership to Boston
If you’re already a member of a Junior League in another location, you can become a member of JL Boston. We welcome all New, Active, or Sustaining members who are in good standing to transfer to our league. JL Boston charges a small transfer fee along with any applicable prorated dues for all incoming transfers. The membership commitment is determined based on the date of transfer. Note that your current League must initiate the transfer request, so we advise you to start by contacting your current or most recent League. Questions about transferring?
