The Junior League of Boston invites girls and their families, friends and favorite dolls to enjoy a fun-filled day at their newest fundraiser, The American Girl Fashion Show, at the Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common on Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15.

“In addition to benefiting a good cause, this is an opportunity for young girls to see how past American girls, such as their mothers and grandmothers, used clothing to express themselves,” said Kara Hoagland, Junior League of Boston member and Chair of the American Girl Fashion Show®.

At the event, local girls and their dolls will model historical and contemporary fashions with the help of lively commentary, music and audience participation.  Girls in the audience will delight in seeing the outfits of Felicity, Josephina, Addy, Kit, Molly, Julie, and Rebecca, as well as the contemporary “Just Like You” outfits for older girls and Bitty Baby fashions for the little ones.

The event will include refreshments, party favors, and door prizes, along with a raffle featuring an American Girl experience in New York City and items from the American Girl® Doll collection.  All proceeds benefit the Junior League of Boston’s community service programs promoting the positive development of young girls.

The shows being held Saturday, November 14 will feature a delicious brunch at 10 a.m., a cupcake tea at 2.p.m., and an elegant dinner at 6 p.m.  The performances on Sunday, November 15 will be a 10 a.m. brunch, and cupcake teas at 1p.m. and 4 p.m.  Tickets range between $34-45 for children and $45-55 for adults and can be purchased by visiting www.jlboston.org.
