We are thrilled to announce that we have been selected as an official charity partner for the 2025 Boston 10K for Women! The 10k will be held on October 11, 2025, beginning at Beacon Street in Boston!

As a Charity Partner, JL Boston will receive 100% of the funds the JL Boston Race Team raises. We invite you to join the JL Boston Race Team and show your support for the Junior League of Boston by raising funds to help us continue our community programs. These programs are focused on the economic empowerment of women and girls in the Greater Boston area.

How to Join the JL Boston Race Team for the Boston 10K For Women 1. Click here to begin your registration for Team JL Boston 

2. Search for “Junior League of Boston” and complete your registration

3. You will be prompted to become a personal fundraiser during registration. Do not forget to select the “Junior League of Boston”

By joining JL Boston’s Race Team, you are committing to fundraising a minimum of $500. This amount must be raised in advance of the race to ensure your place on the team. I joined the JL Boston Race Team! Now What? 1. Reach out to your network to let them know you’re racing to support the Junior League of Boston and send them your individual fundraising page! Each team member must raise a minimum of $500, through the Boston 10K for Women’s platform to participate. Remember, JL Boston receives all funds raised to support our community programs!

1. Complete the Junior League of Boston’s General Fitness Waiver by October 1, 2025.
2. Continue to check your email, and Junior League of Boston social media for updates and communications.

I’m Unable to Participate in the 10K, but Still Want to Support JL Boston If you are unable to participate in the 10K but still want to support the Junior League of Boston’s community programming, you can make a donation by clicking here. Picnic & Ponies Charity Day Polo Match & Tailgate Fundraiser on Sunday, September 27th at Newport Polo!

Gates at 12 noon – Match starts at 4 pm!

Experience the thrill of New England polo while supporting a great cause! Join us for our annual fundraiser – Picnic & Ponies: Charity Day Polo Match & Tailgate, benefiting the Junior League of Boston.

Please note that ticket sales end Friday, September 25th at 9 am. Tickets are not available at the gate and must be purchased in advance.

Indulge in the excitement of polo with friends and family as you enjoy a day of festivities. Tailgating kicks off at 12 pm, so bring your best tailgate dishes to share in our potluck-style gathering. The exciting polo match begins at 4:00 pm. Remember, it’s BYOB, so don’t forget to pack your favorite beverages.

By attending, you’ll enjoy a day out and support the Junior League of Boston’s mission to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.

There is no rescheduled date if this event is canceled due to weather. Ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. If you can no longer attend this event, we encourage you to pass your ticket along to someone who can attend.

Newport Polo FAQ

Q: What are the rules and customs of the sport of polo?
A: The Newport Polo Spectator Guide provides some history and clarifications to what’s happening on and off the field. Please remember to always keep an eye on the ball during gameplay.

Q: What is the dress code?
A: The attire for Newport Polo events is “Newport Casual Chic.” Think sundresses, collared shirts, sun hats, and summer trousers. Narrow heels will get stuck in the grass.

Reminders for Game Day

Bring a blanket or chair for seating. Please remember high-backed chairs may block the view for others.

Bring your favorite tailgate dish and beverage. Please remember not to pack too heavy, as parking is a walk away from the pitch. 

Dress comfortably, and pack sunscreen. The path into the polo ground is gravel, and all other surfaces are grass. Typically, there is very little shade at this event. 

Bring your dog. Dogs must always be on a leash.

Saturday, February 7, 2026 6:30 to 10:30pm!

Come dressed in your best après ski style ready to party the night away while enjoying live music, drinks, food, silent auction, and late-night karaoke! Tickets include your first two drinks and passed appetizers. Event proceeds benefit the Junior League of Boston’s community and leadership development programs.
