110 Years of Impact, 110 Years of Giving by: Alicia Dunn

Over the last 110 years, the Junior League of Boston has been a strong supporter of the needs of the greater Boston Metro community, from making clothing and supplies for Union soldiers to developing projects such as the Good Grief Program and the Women’s Informational Referral and Education Service to address social issues in the community.

Today, 110 years after its beginning in 1906, JL Boston’s 1,000+ trained volunteers are still working towards addressing community challenges with a focus on promoting the development and wellness of women and girls. Numerous JL Boston programs, such as Kids in the Kitchen, provide outreach to local girls in high-needs areas, however these programs would not exist without the generous support of our members and donors.

As we celebrate 110 years of service to the greater Boston Metro community, we are encouraging our members and generous supporters to consider a contribution of $110 to the Junior League of Boston in honor of its anniversary.  Donations to the JL Boston are vital to ensure we can continue to impact the women and girls of greater Boston who are counting on our volunteers and dynamic, enriching programs.  To donate today or learn more about how you can be a part of the future we are building, visit www.jlboston.org/support.
