BOSTON (March 15, 2006) – The Junior League of Boston is hosting it’s second annual Future U on Saturday April 8, 2006 at the University of Massachusetts-Boston, Campus Center, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. This free, one-day event invites high school girls in the metro Boston area to take part in interactive seminars exploring various career opportunities and the educational requirements necessary to achieve them. “The Junior League of Boston is excited about hosting this fantastic event again and building on last year’s incredible success” said Jennifer McVoy, Co-Chair of Future U. “We hope Future U provides high school girls in the Boston area a road map to achieve their dreams while giving them personal access to women leaders in the community.” This year’s event includes talented women speakers from all walks of life that are sure to leave a lasting positive impression on the girls. Future U will include a presentation by the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA) on how to pay for college, as well as session speakers including women representatives from: · The Fashion Industry-Sara Campbell Ltd.
