Boston, January 16, 2007 – The Junior League of Boston announced today they will participate in the second annual education initiative on childhood obesity and nutrition, entitled Kids in the Kitchen, with more than 200 Leagues from the Association of Junior Leagues International participating across the United States and Canada.

The Junior League of Boston will host special Kids in the Kitchen events through it’s Positive Development of Adolscent Girls programming such as JLB Arts, a Saturday program for fifth grade girls from the Boston Renaissance Charter School, among others. Special seminars and cooking events will be held throughout the months of February and March in many programs.

As children are likely to eat foods that they helped prepare, the Junior Leagues offer an online recipe collection featuring kid-friendly, nutritious recipes from celebrities, chefs and athletes at http://kidsinthekitchen.ajli.org.
