The home boasts over 20 rooms that will be transformed by renowned designers who are generously donating their time and materials; each of the design areas of this stately residence and grounds will be redesigned with an eye to maintaining the home’s original character.

As in years past, interior designers were invited to submit design proposals to participate in the 2016 Junior League Show House. The following are the invited group of local designers who have been selected to begin transforming the Show House into a newly decorated showpiece during the month of April 2016.

walker design Cecilia Walker
Cecilia Walker grew up immersed in design. Having a mother as an interior designer, she spent her childhood surrounded by fabric, wallpaper books, blueprints and sketches receiving a lifetime of mentoring. After twelve plus years in the fashion industry, Cecilia returned to her childhood passion and launched Cecilia Walker Design in 2006. Taking cues from her fashion background, Cecilia’s interiors reflect her style which she defines as New York black meets California surf, and is grounded in classic, clean lines with natural textures and a modern edginess. Her latest endeavor into textile design is a natural transition after a career in merchandising and product development. Cecilia’s fabrics reflect the same she style evokes in her interiors, with crisp details on natural linens, hand screened from her hand-drawn designs based on the stories from her life. Her first textile collection draws inspiration from her childhood in Southern California. Fueled by the encouragement of her mentor and interior designer mother, she is fulfilling a dream that is true to her core. Cecilia is an Associate member of ASID. Cecilia participated in the 2012 JLB Show House in Newton, MA designing the Back Hallway.
