JL Boston’s Spring Bazaar

The best boutique shopping in New England is coming to 117 Newbury this May for the Junior League of Boston’s final major fundraiser of the season. Proceeds from the event will support our community programs, many of which focus on the wellness of women and girls in Boston.

The “Shop ‘Til You Drop” Spring Bazaar is truly a product of inspiration. A few members of the JL Boston’s Small Events Committee approached the Development Council with the idea of creating a fundraiser that showcased the newly renovated JL Boston headquarters. This event — like all Junior League fundraisers — is open to the public and is an exciting opportunity for the League to invite the community into our building. The renovation was intended to both preserve the historical integrity of the Newbury Street brownstone and to expand its usability for members and the community-at-large for functions that benefit Boston and its residents.

“I hope this event and others will encourage people to visit JL Boston headquarters and it can be a beacon that reminds us of the importance of our cause and the necessity of perseverance,”says JL Boston President Audra Dainora. “Events like the Spring Bazaar are important to the League because the proceeds help fund our community projects, which are the heart and soul of our organization. A percentage of every purchase will go towards improving the lives of girls and young women in the Boston area. This is the true goal of the Junior League and any event that helps us get closer to achieving that goal is worthy of our support.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase merchandise from local boutiques, some of which are League members’ own businesses. To add to the fun, drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served to attendees. Expect to see everything from Crane and Lion windbreakers to Moxie wedges to custom cutting boards from KED Designs available for purchase. Other vendors offering merchandise as part of this fundraiser include: fashion brands Beacon & Brewster, Duchess Boutique, Ellsworth & Ivey, Three Islands, Peach, skin care brand Rodan + Fields, accessory brands Artemis Design Co., The Pink Poppy, and more!

“Shop ‘Til You Drop!” is the first annual spring shopping bazaar, and it will be held in the newly renovated headquarters on May 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Guests are invited to peruse merchandise while enjoying beverages and small bites. Raffle tickets are also available for purchase. Tickets range from $10-$25 and may be purchased at JLBoston.org or at the door.   We hope to see you there!
