The Junior League of Boston Announces Annual Service and the City Fundraiser (1/15/10)

BOSTON, MA January 2010- The Junior League of Boston (JL Boston) announces their annual Service and the City fundraiser, an event that will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston.

The event, designed to support JL Boston’s wide variety of community service programs throughout the greater Boston area, expects attendance from more than 350 guests and is the League’s largest and most high-profile event of the year. The Boston-based non-profit is an all women’s organization whose members donate more than 16,000 volunteer hours each year through eleven different community service programs benefitting the health and education of women and children.

Service and the City begins at 6 p.m. with a Martini Madness pre-party at Tiffany & Co. in the Copley Mall. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase a Tiffany & Co. Mystery Blue Box—all boxes will contain an elegant item from their collection but one special box will contain a fabulous piece of jewelry. The evening’s main event starts at 8 p.m. at the Mandarin Oriental and features a live and silent auction, the band Soul City and some amazing raffle prizes.

Tickets are open to the public and are available for $135.00 for the Martini Madness pre-party and main event (inclusive of dinner and auction) and $85.00 for the main event only.
