Men for auction? The Junior League of Boston recently held their third annual Bachelor Auction at Bills Bar. In addition to a silent auction of four studs, thirteen brave men strutted their stuff across the stage to be auctioned off to a sold out room of excited women. The event was right out of the 20’s with ladies decked out in flapper themed beaded dresses, headbands, and red lipstick. These women were armed with a catalog of “auction items” complete with photos, and ready to use their bidding paddles for a good cause.

Dressed and styled by Lord and Taylor, the men looked dashing as they enticed the crowd into a frenzy of bidding. Two lively auctioneers (Frankie V and Ashlee from Jam’n 94.5 The Morning Show) talked-up each bachelor to give the crowd-tantalizing information, and one bachelor even demonstrated his singing and guitar skills. As the finale, the auctioneer, Frankie V, was even auctioned off to appease the man-hungry crowd. The Bachelor to get the highest bid was Nasos Dousis, who sold for $1200 and included a date for Dinner for 2 at Top of the Hub and then a night at the symphony (which Nasos donated himself for his date package). The Junior League of Boston raised $11,000 from the event to be used towards the health and wellness of women and girls in the Boston area.
